It's been a week of ups and downs, that's for sure. Case in point: I'm listening to 90's boy band music and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. That should tell you that it's been a weird week.

After some major (okay, minor) schedule rearranging and stupid high school drama, the Group (as I think I'll call it from now on) is coming to my place for dinner tonight. I'm cooking--super excited! Here's the menu, unless something happens to change it between now and then:
~ Chicken a la Elspeth (for everyone except Elspeth)
~ Garden salad
~ White wine pasta with zucchini, squash, and chives
~ Schoko croissants

I'm pretty excited! The pasta is going to be semi-experimental, since I don't have the recipe the German Haus kids used last year. I have cous cous set aside as a backup (in case it goes horribly wrong).

Last night was karaoke night at two of the older grad students'. (When I say "older," I mean they entered prior to my class year.) Although I hadn't planned on going, I ended up having a lot of fun. Still embarrassed with the horrendous quality of my singing and the songs I chose. I should really make a list of artists who have a corresponding range. Most of them will be men, no doubt. Elvis is at the top of the list.
